Student Council

For the purpose of representing and serving the students of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology& Management, Bantakal, in all matters concerning their education and wellbeing, a student body called a Student Council is established.The body is to bridge the student community with the college administration. However, this elected student council should not get linked with outside student organisations nor will have any obligations with them. The body will work under the code of conduct for students will abide to the rules and regulations set by the institution or management time to time.

The Council shall undertake the following duties and responsibilities of:

• Assisting the authorities in encouraging the continual improvement of engineering education andprofessionalism within the Institute and the University.
• Recognizing outstanding students in the Institute.
• Promoting co-curricular, extracurricular and sportsactivities in the Institute.
• Engaging dialogue between students and authorities/faculty in the Institute on matters of mutual concern.
• Encouraging student participation in intercollegiate events.
• Coordinating activities of various student chapters, cultural & technical associations at the Institute level.
• Supporting campus placement initiatives.
• Assisting in bringing out annual college magazine “AKSHARA”.
• Organizing annual cultural & technical fests of the Institute.
• Assisting in curbing the menace of ragging in the campus.
• Maintaining harmony and conducive academic environment in the Institute /campus.
• Improving faculty- staff- student interrelations.
• Supporting the Institute, management in all developmental activities and redressal of student grievances.
