Workshop on “PCB Design Using Open-Source Tools” at SMVITM

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, in association with the ISTE student chapter, organized one day workshop on “PCB Design Using Open-Source Tools”   held on January 16, 2024, at the college premises. Dr Shashank M Gowda, Director of Invihub Techno Solutions, Bengaluru served as the resource person for the workshop.

Dr Shashank M Gowda explained that PCB design is designing and creating printed circuit boards that serve as the foundation of electronic devices. The theoretical sessions provided in-depth insights into the principles and concepts of PCB design using open-source tools. In practical session participants engaged in hands-on activities, applying the theoretical knowledge to design and simulate PCB layouts under the guidance of Dr. Gowda and his team members.

Ms. Ananya K, of 5^th semester, student of ECE department, compered the program. . The event was coordinated by Ms. Chandana, ISTE Department Coordinator, with the support of Dr. Guruprasad, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mr.Chetan R, ISTE Treasusrer and Mrs. Shashikala R. ISTE Secretary.
