WORKSHOP ON LIBREOFFICE SUITE FOR OFFICE STAFF

Spoken Tutorial Workshop, organized for Non-Teaching Staff on 5^th January, 2015, at CCC. As scheduled program started at 10:00 am, Mr. Rama Moorthy H, CSE Dept., briefed the LINUX operating system and stressed the importance of the spoken tutorial project under taken by IIT Bombay funded by MHRD, Govt. of India.

The spoken tutorial team, Mr. Chetan R, ECE Dept., introduced and projected the comparison between MS Office suite with LibreOffice suite, later Mr.Sharath D Shetty, Mech Dept., and Mr. Sharath Kumar, CSE Dept., continued LibreOffice suite session with important inputs and sorting out the queries at the needful time. There were 14 participants benefited with the ‘Learn by doing’ task.

Before concluding the session, Mr Rama Moorthy H, CSE Dept addressed the issue of information security, which is must in all the reputed institutions and also acknowledged the participants for their active participation and queries. Totally, it was a good Hands-on experience to learn the FREE AND OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE (FOSS).
