Virtual International Conference on Emerging Trends in Science and Engineering

The two-day Virtual International conference on Emerging Trends in Science and Engineering (ICETSE-2020), organized at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal was inaugurated by Dr.U.C.Niranjan, Director of Research & Training, Manipal Dot Net Pvt. Ltd.  on 10 July 2019.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr.U.C.Niranjan, appreciated the efforts of the college for having organized this type conference which is very much relevant in the fast growing science and technology. Lot of research work is happening around the world. He appreciated the students of our college who are actively involved in the project works in the areas of IoT and Cloud Technology. Especially in the critical situation of COVID-19, there are so many challenges as well as opportunities for advancement in the available technologies to meet digitalization through e-governance, e-learning and e-commerce. There are so many opportunities in these areas to develop newer technologies. He has given a call to the technocrats to use the technology for constructive purposes.

Shri. Ratnakumar, Secretary of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Udupi presided over the inaugural function. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, welcomed the gathering. Ms. Deepika B V introduced the chief guest and Dr. Balachandra Achar H V, Head, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Sneha D’Souza compered the program. Convener of the conference Dr. Sudarshan Rao K was present on the dais.

The inaugural function was followed by a keynote address on “Artificial Intelligence, Aviation and Agriculture”, by Dr. Kota Harinarayana, Padmashri awardee and Former Vice Chancellor of Hyderabad University. More than 100 research papers were presented online by researchers, academicians and students across the country using Google Meet application. The entire program was organized maintaining the social distance and as per the guidelines issued by the Government related to COVID-19.
