Value added course on Entrepreneurship

The Institution’s Innovation Council in association with the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of SMVITM is organizing a “VALUE ADDED COURSE on ENTREPRENEURSHIP” from 19th to 23rd June 2023. The inaugural function of this program was held on 19 June 2023 in the institute premises.

Dr. B Rajashekar, Dean and Professor of Manipal College of Health Professions inaugurated the session by lighting the lamp. In his address, Dr. B Rajashekar offered a lot of motivation and inspiration for students to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors. He also mentioned about essential characteristics required for the entrepreneurs such discipline, vision, adaptability, creativity, communication and idea generation etc. He concluded his speech by giving tips on entrepreneurship and also quoted that skill and hard work makes the entrepreneur successful in his carrier.

Later the Guest of honor Sri Ratnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET, Udupi addressed the gathering. He mentioned about institution’s aim in producing entrepreneurs and the future plans for the Entrepreneurship Development Cell at SMVITM to assist students in becoming entrepreneurs.

Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwar Bhat, Principal, SMVITM, briefed students about the program and the importance of value added courses on entrepreneurship. Also, he mentioned that the institution will start an incubation center on its campus.

Ms. Sahana Karanth, Senior Asst. Professor in the Dept. of CSE welcomed the gathering. The Program concluded by the vote of thanks by Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, coordinator of Institution’s Innovation Council. All the Coordinators of Institution’s Innovation Council, Dean, HODs, and participants were present over the program. The program begins with an invocation by Mr. Darshanraj and is compered by Mr. Clinton.
