The installation ceremony of the office bearers of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross(YRC), and Rotaract Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal for the year 2021-22 was held on Thursday 21 October 2021 in the Institute premises.
Dr. Nikethana, Principal, Government First Grade College, Hiriyadka was the chief guest on the occasion and inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. In her Inaugural address to the gathering, she said that NSS will give opportunities to students in the community development service programs and enable them to get experience by exposure to life outside educational institutions. Also, she mentioned that NSS provides discipline, Service attitude, and leadership skills coexistence among the students.
Guest of Honor Rtn. Flavia Menezes, President, Rotary Shankarapura, briefly explained the importance of the Rotaract Club and congratulated the new office bearers and members. The Oathtaking process was carried out by Rtn. Edward Mendoca, Rotaract Coordinator, Rotary Shankarapura.
Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of SMVITM, in his presidential address said that all the students must have definite and proper goals in life and need to put sincere efforts to reach their destination and congratulated all the newly-elected office-bearers of the NSS-YRC-RC Unit.
Officials from Rotary Shankarpura, Vice Principal, Deans, HODs, Staff members, and students were present during the function.
For the academic year 2021-22, Ms. Aninditha and Mr. Srivathsa were sworn in as the President of NSS and RC respectively; Ms.Bhoomika J S and Mr. Aniketh Shenoy as the secretaries of NSS and RC respectively.
Mr. Nagaraja Rao, Coordinator of the NSS-YRC-RC Unit read the report of the unit for the year 2020-21. Ms. Shreya Thantry 2nd year ECE invoked the blessings from the Almighty. Ms. Jelena welcomed the gathering; Ms. Ananya and Ms. Chaitra B R introduced the guests. Mr. Sainath Shetty proposed a vote of thanks. The program was compèred by Ms. Akshatha Renjal and Ms. Avanti Rao.
