Technical talk on “Thermal Energy Engineering Applications”

ISTE Student Chapter, in association with the department of Mechanical Engineering, conducted a Technical talk on “Thermal Energy Engineering Applications”, on 5^th April 2016 in the college premises. Mr. P Niranjan Adiga Thermal Energy Engineering and consultant Bangalore. All Pre-final year Mechanical Engineering students attended the talk and interacted with the resource person.

Mr. P Niranjan Adiga highlighted the applications of thermal energy in the thermal power plants, Gas turbines and also explained the various cycles related to the thermal plants. He explained the components of thermal power plant and methods to improve its performance.  The talk provided the students a platform for sharing their thoughts regarding Thermal Energy and also about the critical issues regarding the selection of suitable components and tools for their projects, and was provided with proper guidance regarding all these aspects.

Earlier, Prof. Dr. SudarshanRao, HOD Mechanical Department of SMVITM, welcomed the resource person with a flower bouquet. At the end of the session Prof. Dr. SudarshanRao, HOD Mechanical Department, presented a memento to the speaker. The program was compered by Mr.Pavan A and Mr. Bharath, of pre-final year Mechanical Department.
