Technical talk on “Opportunities for Mechanical Engineers in Maritime Engineering”

ISTE Student Chapter, in association with the department of Mechanical Engineering, conducted a Technical talk on “Opportunities for Mechanical Engineers in Maritime Engineering”, on 10^th September 2016 in the college premises. Er. T Narayana Former Principal, Maritime Training Institute – Mumbai and Former Engineer of Merchant Vessels was resource person.  Pre-final year Mechanical Engineering students attended the talk and interacted with the resource person.

Er. T Narayana highlighted the opportunities for mechanical engineering students in maritime engineering. He also explained eligibility criteria to join maritime engineering courses, duration of course and its future advantages. Also he explained problems faced by students studying marine engineers.

Prof. Dr. SudarshanRao, HOD Mechanical Department of SMVITM, welcomed the resource person with a flower bouquet. The program was arranged by Mr.Ganesh R Kalagi and Mr.Ranganath Bhat Asst. professors, ISTE Coordinators of Mechanical Engineering Dept.
