Talk on “Role of a citizen in Constitutional India”

On the occasion of Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas), NSS-YRC-RC Unit and NCC Unit of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management Bantakal jointly organized an on Friday, 26 November 2021. Mr. B Sarvajna Thantry, Advocate, was the resource person.

In his presentation, He emphasized the importance of Constitution Day, the significance of its celebration, and commemorated the people who contributed to the development of the Indian constitution. He highlighted the basic differences of the Indian constitution than that of other countries with examples indicating the prerequisites of the constitution such as societal, familial, and individual needs. The preamble of the Indian Constitution i.e India to be a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic which is aiming to secure justice, liberty, equality to all citizens and promote fraternity to maintain unity and integrity of the nation were stressed in his speech as these rights are a necessity and are not a privilege.

Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal; Dr. Ganesh Aithal, Vice Principal; Deans, Student Welfare Officer, HODs of various departments, Section heads were present during the talk. Mr.Nagaraja Rao, Coordinator NSS-YRC-RC Unit and Mr. Sooraj Kumar, Coordinator NCC Unit conducted the program. Ms. Aninditha of final year CSE welcomed the gathering and compeered the program; Ms. Ananya of final year CSE introduced the resource person. More than 200 students including Faculty, Staff participated in the talk.
