Street play on Environmental protection and plastic ban, Eco friendly paper bag distribution and vanamostava in NH66

Community Club and Eco Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, organised a street play at Katpady on the theme “ Environmental Protection and Plastic Ban” on 5th October 2018. SMVITM students participated in the street play with an objective to create awareness amongst the public, the importance of greenery and planting more trees in order to reduce environmental pollution for the survival of animals and mankind. They also highlighted the effects of usage of plastic bags to the public. Street Play was followed by the distribution of Eco friendly easily biodegradable paper bags prepared by SMVITM students to the nearby medical shops.

At the end of the program 10 saplings were planted at NH66. Sampling was done by students and faculties of SMVITM.

Members of Community Orientation and Eco Club Mr. Narayan Nayak, Ms. Ramya Shetty, Ms. Sowmya Bhat, Ms. Vrundha Adkar and Mr.Sharath were present in the program.
