SMVITM, Bantakal organized Fit India Freedom Run

On the occasion of 75 years of India’s Independence, the Department of Physical Education and NSS-YRC-RC Unit of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, Udupi organized Fit India Freedom Run on 31 October 2021 from Subhasnagar Bus stand to SMVITM Campus.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Thirumaleshawara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM, Bantakal. Deans, HODs of various departments, Student Welfare Officer, Physical Education Director, Sports Coordinator of SMVITM, NSS-YRC-RC Coordinator Faculty, Staff, students, Parents and well-wishers of the institute were present during the inauguration. More than 90 students took part in the run that aimed to promote fitness. The mission of the movement is to bring about behavioral changes and move towards a more physically active lifestyle. The participants ran from Subhasnagar to SMVITM Campus through Shankerpura.
