“Professional Development Program” at SMVITM

Department of Mechanical Engineering, Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal  in association with ISTE student chapter has organized 30 hours Professional Development Program on “CNC Programming & Hands-on training” for the benefit of Mechanical Engineering students in the month of August-September 2023.

The Principal Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat inaugurated the program. In his address, he explained the importance of value added programs along with the regular academics. Also, appreciated the efforts of the organizers for planning a useful program for the benefit of the students. The course consisted of both theory sessions as well as hands on sessions with CNC machines.

Mr. Sudhir, Mr. Karthik V and Mr. Srikanth Shettigar were the resource persons of the program. As a part of the program, an industrial visit has organized to Karavali Interiors and Furnitures, Manipal Industrial Area, Manipal on 16 Septermber 2023. The students have exposed to several automated machines in the wood working industry including tape binding, cutting and loading. The students have experienced working with a CNC machine for woodworking and carving.

Mr. Sudhir and Mr. Aditya Kudva S from the Department of Mechanical Engineering were the overall coordinators of the program.
