Kannada Rajyothsava Celebrations

 The institutional wings of National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Rotaract Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, and the Institutional Extra Curricular Committee jointly organized Kannada Rajyothsava Celebrations in the institute premises on the 2^nd of November, 2019.

The Principal Prof Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat inaugurated the program with a floral offering to Goddess Kannada Bhuvaneshwari. In his address to the gathering, he spoke on a number of salient points regarding the Kannada language and its upkeep. He stressed on the recent trend of not speaking in Kannada despite being a Kannadiga as detrimental to the sustainability of the Kannada language.

The program was followed by many games related to Kannada and cultural programs presented by the faculty and students of the institute.

Mr. Kishor Kumar Aroor, the Institutional NSS / YRC / RC Coordinator, Mr. Ananthesh Rao, Institutional Extra Curricular Activity Coordinator, Heads and faculty members from various departments, Office bearers of NSS / YRC / RC and the Extra Curricular Committee and students of institute  were present during the occasion.
