Invited talk on “Writing Research Project Proposal to Funding Agencies”

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal in association with ISTE Faculty Chapter organized an Invited talk on the topic “Writing Research Project Proposals to Funding Agencies” on 14 December 2019. Dr. M S Santhosh, Center for Innovation Incubation Research and Consultancy (CIIRC), Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bengaluru was the resource person.

Dr. Santhosh started his talk highlighting the need of research funding to carryout quality research. He spoke on the various funding agencies available in India and time period of their proposal acceptance. He quoted examples on common mistakes done, during the writing of the project proposal and suggested the corrective measures to overcome those mistakes. He insisted to write proposals in collaboration with different branches and universities within the country or across to give a good impact to the reviewer. He concluded the talk by asking the faculty to focus on quality research and to have a habit of reviewing the proposal for constant improvement before sending it to the funding agencies.

Ms. Sneha N S introduced the guest and compeered the program. The principal of the college Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat felicitated the guest with a memento. The program was coordinated by Dr. Vasudeva Dean Research and Consultancy and attended by good number of faculty members of the college.
