Invited Talk on Blockchain by Mr. Achal Poonja

The Department of CSE in association with IEEE Student Branch and ISTE Student Chapter of SMVITM, Bantakal organized an invited talk by Mr. Achal Poonja on the topic of “Blockchain and its Applications” on 8 November 2019 at the seminar hall, admin block of the college. The event was organized for the benefit of 5 semester computer science students. The speaker had a comprehensive knowledge on the topic of Cryptography, Cloud computing and Blockchain. In a span of one and half hour he covered a wide range of subjects like crypto currency, application of block chain, future of the blockchain technology and its robustness in solving the real-time issues. The session was interactive and he clarified most of the doubts raised by the students and gave them tips on how to use this technology in their final year projects or in choosing a career path in the field of Information Technology.

The program was compered by Ms. Sowmya S., assistant professor department of CSE, several Faculty members of the department of CSE and Head of the Department Dr. Vasudeva was present during the session and the speaker was felicitate at the end of the event by the Vice principal of the college Dr. Ganesh Aithal.
