The Department of CSE conducted a hands-on workshop on “Programming Skills Development” for the benefit of 3rd semester students from February 20 to 24, 2023.
The main objective of this course of study is to build on the skills gained by students in Object-Oriented Programming Fundamentals and help advance Java and C++ programming skills. Students will create object-oriented programmes and design object-oriented applications in Java and C++ using hands-on, engaging activities. The five-day course focused on object-oriented programming concepts, which assisted third-semester students in bridging the gap between the lower and upper semesters.
The course instructors for the training programme were Ms. Yashaswini Jogi, Mr. Deepak Rao, Mr. Sharath Kumar, Ms. Sowmya S., Ms. Savitha Shenoy A., and Ms. Sowmya NH, all senior assistant professors in the CSE Department. Totaling 121 participants, they received hands-on train
ing with respect to object-oriented programming using C++ and Java.
The valedictory session took place on February 24, 2023. Based on assessment and active participation, a few students were identified as “best performers.” Dr. Soumya J. Bhat, Associate Professor and Head, Dept. of CSE, handed out tokens of appreciation for Mr. Claton Robert Dsouza, Ms. Devadiga Trupti, Mr. G. Chinmay, Mr. Rohav V., Ms. Vaishnavi Rao B., and Ms. Yuktha.
The training team would like to place on record its sincere gratitude towards Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal, and Dr. Soumya J. Bhat, head of the department, for their timely suggestions and guidance.
