The department of E&C Engineering, in association with ISTE Student Chapter organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Embedded Systems – Challenges & Opportunities” on 20 Nov 2019. Mr. Hanumantha Managoli, Proprietor of SYP Solutions Bengaluru was the resource person. The students of E&C Engineering participated in the program and enriched their knowledge in the subject.
During the lecture, Mr. Managoli spoke about various applications of embedded systems, ranging from simple home automation to satellites. He explained to the students about how the embedded system evolved, what are the challenges it poses and what are the opportunities it creates to budding electronics engineers. He made the students realize that technological developments and improvisations are essential part of every engineer’s life, and said that an engineer should cultivate the ability to grasp the ideas sooner and be able to modify the existing technology into much efficient and convenient ones. He said that one thing which is constant in life is change, and hence motivated the students to keep learning new technologies and adapt to the market needs. He also gave some tips to the students on what an industry expects from a fresh electronics engineer and methods to cultivate the same.
Earlier, Ms. Rushali Naik of 4th year ECE welcomed the guest speaker and introduced him to the audience. Vice Principal Dr. Ganesh Aithal thanked the speaker for sparing his valuable time to educate the budding engineers. Asst. Professor Mr. Krishna Kumar coordinated the program.
