Graduation Day – 2021

The Graduation Ceremony for the eighth outgoing batch of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, Udupi, was held in the institute premises on Sunday, 07 November 2021.

Shri Rama Naik, General Manager, Canara Bank, Manipal was the chief guest and delivered the graduation day address. He appreciated SMVITM for giving quality education in this region. He suggested the graduates to take up Competitive Exams like Civil service exams and bank exams. He also suggested the graduates to focus on their jobs to ensure professional growth in any organization.

Dr. Narayana Sabhahit, Registrar, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, who was the guest of Honour congratulated the graduates. He advised the graduates to become strong enough to face the challenges, which they may face in their professional career.   He also suggested the graduates to learn continuously to survive in the competitive world.

Shri Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Sode Vadiraja Matha handed over the gold medals for the branch toppers. Ms. Rhea Saramani Salins of Civil Engineering, Ms. Prajna U of Computer Science and Engineering, Ms. Namana of Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Mr. Nagaraj of Mechanical Engineering won gold medals for their splendid academic performance. Mr. Nishanth Prabhu K and Ms. Vaibhavalaxmi received “Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Prashasti“ from revered Swamiji for their outstanding performance. Dr. Vijayakumari was felicitated for receiving her Ph.D. Degree under the guidance of Dr. Ravindra H.J, HOD, Department of Physics.

Swamiji while addressing the gathering congratulated the graduates and advised them to not only focus on monetary benefits in professional life but also on their personality development. He suggested inculcating the qualities like being resourceful, being ethical, and also abiding by good character in life.

“Tithi Nirnaya” an android app, to display the daily panchanga of Sode Shri Vadiraja Matha, developed by Mr. Ganesh Hatwar and team, final year Computer Science & Engineering students of SMVITM was launched by Shri Swamiji in this occasion.

Principal Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat welcomed the gathering. Shri Rathnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET, congratulated the graduates and appealed them to get involved in social service activities in addition to professional duties. He requested graduates to join hands to realize the dream of Shri Swamiji to establish Madhwa University in near future. Shri Shrinivas Tantry, Diwan, Shri Sode Vadiraja Matha was present on the dais.

HoDs of engineering branches presented the graduates list. Dr. Sudarshan Rao, Dean(Quality Assurance), announced the names of branch toppers. Dr. Vasudeva, Dean(Research and Consultancy) announced the name of Ph.D. Scholar and recipients of  Merit cum means Scholarships.

Dr. Reena Kumari, Head, Dept. of Chemistry introduced the chief guest. Dr. Lolita Priya Castelino, HOD of Dept. of Mathematics introduced the guest of honor. The Vice-Principal, Dr. Ganesh Aithal, administered the Oath for the eighth outgoing batch of graduates.

Dr. Ravindra H.J HOD of Dept. of Physics delivered a vote of thanks. Ms. Ranjani, a student of the Institute rendered the invocation. The event was compered by faculty members Mr. Ananth Mohan Mallya and Ms. Harshitha G M.
