FDP on “Advances in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering”

Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, in association with ISTE Faculty Chapter has organized Five days Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Advances in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering” from 28 December 2020 to 01 January 2021 with the objective of enhancing the knowledge of the faculty members and research scholars across the country.

The FDP was inaugurated by Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of SMVITM on 28 December 2020. Hundreds of faculty members and research scholars across the country have joined the FDP as participants. Prof. S K Nath from IIT-Roorkee, Dr. Chakradhara D from IIT-Palakkad, Dr. Somashekara M A and Dr.  Surya Prakash Ramesh from IIT-Dharwad, Dr. Shashi Bhushan Arya from NITK-Surathkal, Dr. Manjaiah M from NIT-Warangal, Dr. Venkateswarulu from NAL-Bengaluru, Dr. Maruti Hegde from University of North Carolina-USA, Mr. Amith Kudva from Plasmatron India Pvt Ltd-Mumbai and Dr. Gajanan Anne from SMVITM were the Resource persons for ten technical sessions. The FDP was concluded on 01 January 2020. Dr. Gajanan Anne, HOD of Mechanical Engineering and Dr. Pavana Kumara, Faculty member of Mechanical Engineering, have coordinated the FDP.
