Blood Donation Camp at SMVITM

As a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and on the occasion of World AIDS Day, National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross Wing of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal, Udupi, Indian Red Cross Society, Blood Centre, Kundapura, HDFC Bank Kundapura, Lions Club Udupi Mid-Town jointly
organized one-day Voluntary Mega Blood Donation Camp on 03 December 2022 in the institute premises.

Mr. S Jayakar Shetty, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society Kundapur inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp.
Mrs. Veena J Shetty, President, Lions Club Udupi mid-town; Mr. Manjunath Shetty, Branch Operation Manager,
HDFC Bank, Kundapura; Mr. Shivaram Shetty, Treasurer IRCS, Kundapura, Mr. Purushotham Nayak, Mr. Anand
Ganiga from Lions Club Mid-Town Udupi; Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal; Dr. Ganesh Aithal, Vice
Principal, SMVITM, Bantakal and other officials from Indian Red Cross Society, Udupi; Nagaraja Rao NSS-YRC
Unit Coordinator; Departmental Coordinators, Dean, HODs, Faculty, Staff, Office bearers and members of NSS-
YRC Unit were present during the inaugural function.

Ms. Ramya and Shrinidhi, 3 rd year ECE invoked the blessings from the Almighty Ms. Shreeraksha of final year CSE welcomed the gathering and compeered the program; Ms. Shrutha Bhat proposed vote of thanks. More than 100 Volunteers, including faculty, staff and students of SMVITM and public had donated blood and with a total of 95 units of blood collected at the camp.
