Beach Cleaning Program at Padubidri Beach

The National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Rotaract Club (RC) of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), organized Beach Cleaning program at Padubidri beach on Sunday, 15 December 2019.

A group of 50 student volunteers of NSS-YRC-RC club along with Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, the Principal of SMVITM and Mr. Kishor Kumar Aroor, Institutional NSS –YRC-RC Coordinator, Mr. Ganesh Shetty, Ms. Ramyashree, Ms. Nisha Reena Nazareth, Departmental Coordinators, Mr. Sachin Prabhu, Mr. Raghavendra Baila attended the program.

They selected around 800 meters stretch of the beach and collected heap of non-biodegradable items and disposed properly. The members of Grama Panchayath Padubidri and the authorities of Beach Development Association appreciated the work carried out by the Institution.
