Agnipath Daud – “India 75 and Udupi 25” – A two-day, 75km marathon

A two-day, 75km marathon “Agnipath Daud” organised by Udupi district administration and Team Nation First, as a prelude to the silver jubilee of the formation of Udupi district. The Agnipath Daud began with the Slogan “India 75 and Udupi 25” and arrived at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal on 24 August 2022. Principal of SMVITM Bantakal Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat welcomed all the participants and guests.

Chief Guest Shri. Gurme Suresh Shetty, Industrialist, launched the Agnipath Daud from SMVITM Campus and said that this marathon is to create awareness and motivate youngsters to join Indian Army force (Agnipath scheme) and also to create awareness on physical fitness of youth. Principal of SMVITM Bantakal Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, conveyed his best wishes to the program and also to the organizers. Dr. Ganesh Aithal, Vice Principal; Ex-Military persons, VIPs and elected representatives of Jilla Panchayath, Taluk Panchayath and Grama Panchayath, Dean, SWO, HODs of various departments, Coordinators, Faculty, Staff and students were present during the function. More than 800 students participated in the run.
