Webinar on “Thermal Applications in Food Processing & Preservation”

The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with ISTE Faculty Chapter of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management has organized webinar on “Thermal Applications in Food Processing & Preservation” for the benefit of faculty members and students across the state on 16 October 2020, at the institute premises, on the occasion of World Food Day.

Dr. Raja Yateesh Yadav, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at SMVITM was the resource person of the webinar. In his address, the resource person explained about the importance of heat in various food processing and preservation methods. Also, the speaker throws light on food additives and preservatives.

The webinar is hosted online using Google meet application. Hundreds of participants across the state have joined this webinar online. Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Gajanan Anne and Coordinators of ISTE Faculty Chapter Mr. Chethan R, Manjunath S and Dr. Pavana Kumara have coordinated this webinar.
