Industrial Visit to KMF Udupi Dairy, Uppoor

Department of Mechanical Engineering in association Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Institution’s Innovation Council has organized an industrial visit to KMF Udupi Dairy, Uppoor on 14 September 2024 at 10.00 AM.

The students were exposed to the entire facility at the KMF Udupi Dairy right from the milk collection point to the dispatch of the final products including four varieties of milk, curd, buttermilk and ghee.

The entire process including procurement of milk to the plant, collection of milk from the tankers, storage in silos, testing of milk samples, processing details for various milk products, control section, packaging, storage and dispatch were explained in greater by Mr. Rakshit Shetty, Marketing Assistant, Marketing Section and Mr.  Manoj Kumar, Admin Assistant, Engineering Section.

The students of 2^nd year Mechanical and Civil Engineering have attended the program. Faculty members of Mechanical Engineering Mr. Sudhir, Mr. Ravinarayan R Rao, Mr. Ananth Mohan Mallya and faculty member of Civil Engineering Mr. Madhusoodhana Rao N have accompanied the students. Departmental EDC/IIC Coordinator Dr. Bharath K Bhat was coordinated the program.
