One-day workshop on Design of structures using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software-CYPE

The Student Chapter of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and Civil Engineering Department of SMVITM jointly organized a one-day workshop titled “Design of structures using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software-CYPE” at the institute premises on 28 September 2013. Mr. Amarnath S. N., Structural Consultant & Proprietor, M/s FE Designs, Bengaluru was the chief resource person for this workshop. During the forenoon session, Mr. Amarnath presented a demonstration of Cype software, importance of the software in the construction sector. He also motivated the students to become the skilled engineers in the society as the multinational construction companies are concentrating on candidates with additional advanced software skill set. In the afternoon session hands on training program was conducted on Cype software to make the students
