Industrial Visit to UPCL

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an industrial visit to Udupi Power Corporation Limited (UPCL), Padubidri, on 29 & 30 August 2018. Ninety three students from the final year ECE branch participated in the visit and enhanced their knowledge through interaction with the engineers.

During the plant visit, Mr. Lalith Prasad Sharma, HR Admin of UPCL, explained the safety rules and procedures abided inside the premises, described the process of power generation, and showed the respective plant units. Students got an opportunity to view the boiler section, turbine power generation system and digital commanding system.

Faculty members of the department Mr. Sachin Prabhu, Mr. Sandesh Kumar, Mr. Ganesh Shetty and Mr. Avinash N J accompanied the students and coordinated the visits.
