Talk on Roadmap to GATE Preparation

A talk on “Roadmap to GATE Preparation” held on May 24, 2024 organized by department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with ISTE student chapter and Alumni Cell was a valuable session for students aiming to pursue masters through GATE. The distinguished speaker for the day was Ms. Shrutha V Bhat, alumnus of SMVITM who has cleared GATE in 2023 and currently pursuing MTech at MIT Manipal. The session shed light on various aspects of GATE exam and highlighted significant opportunities in public sector. Ms. Shrutha V Bhat commenced the session by providing a comprehensive overview, steps for online application and important dates for GATE 2025. Being an alumnus of the college and currently pursuing MTech at MIT Manipal, provided a unique perspective on how to stick with a time table in the third year of engineering for the upcoming GATE exam preparation. The speaker concluded by offering valuable advice to students interested in pursuing masters an also gave insights on job opportunities in GAIL, SAIL, BHEL, ISRO, DRDO and many notable public sector units through GATE. The event was held in the Admin Block seminar hall from 02.00 PM to 03.00 PM on 21 May
2024. HOD of Computer Science and Engineering Dr. Soumya J Bhat Student, ISTE Coordinator for CSE Mr. Raghavendra Hegde and ISTE Institutional Coordinator Mrs. Shashikala were present during the event. Student Ms. Kathyayini Kamath was the master of ceremony and also presented the vote of thanks.
