Alumni Talk by Ms. Samanvitha A Bhagavath

The Student-Alumni interaction activity by Ms.Samanvitha A Bhagavath (2015-2019 CSE Batch) was arranged by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Alumni Cell on 06 August, 2020.The students of SMVITM were the beneficiary of this program.

Ms.Samanvitha A Bhagavath is currently working as Trainee Data Decision Scientist, Mu Sigma Inc.,Bengaluru. She shared her work experience in Mu Sigma Inc.,Bengaluru. She spoke about how experience in engineering life helps in coping up with corporate life. She stressed upon importance of co-curricular/ extra-curricular activities also importance of listening to lectures/training and how it helps in while facing interviews. She also shared her work experience and also provided tips on work – life balance. Ms. Samanvitha highlighted the importance of soft-skills, behaviours and communication skills in the corporate world.

Ms.Samanvitha A Bhagavath provided enough information about Training period, Projects, Project structures and Various technologies that are being used in the Companies. She also gave some useful tips for reducing the work stress.She also discussed about the topic “How the pandemic affected the company”? She gave a brief idea about the placement drive process and also mentioned the useful sites for preparing for placements, like Indiabix, HackerRank etc.

Ms. Deepthi G Pai welcomed the gathering and introduced speaker to the audience. Ms. Ramyashree and Ms. Deepthi G Pai, Assistant professors and Department Alumni coordinators, Department of CSE, coordinated the event.
