The Student-Alumni interaction activity by Mr. Rahul Tantry (2011-2015 CSE Batch) was arranged by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Alumni Cell on 08 August, 2020. The students of SMVITM were the beneficiary of this program.
Mr. Rahul Tantry is currently working as Senior Software Developer, Siemens Technology and Services Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. Mr. Rahul Tantry provided several tips on interview preparations and career advancements. He also shared his work experience in Siemens and also gave a brief about how the job has affected his entire lifestyle.
Mr. Rahul Tantry gave an insight about why masters? And how it benefits one’s career. He also reminded that by earning a master’s degree you can significantly increase your salary. He shared few tips on interview preparation where he mentioned about the importance of rereading the job description, telling the stories with a clear situation, task, action and result. He also disused why is it important to recruit a friend to practice answering questions.
Speaker also shared his experience while doing internship at SangamOne Bangalore during final year. He also displayed video briefing about his company. It was an interactive session and student participants were involved in Q & A session where they got their doubts cleared.
Ms. Ramyashree welcomed the gathering and introduced speaker to the audience. Mr. Deepak Rao M Institutional ISTE Faculty Chapter Coordinator, Ms. Ramyashree and Ms. Deepthi G Pai, Assistant professors and Department Alumni coordinators, Department of CSE, coordinated the event.
