Seminar on career guidance on “Entrepreneurial Career Prospects for Engineers”

Department of Mechanical and E&C Engineering in association with EDC and ISTE Student Chapter has organized a seminar on career guidance on “Entrepreneurial career prospects for engineers” at 12 PM on 13th October 2023 in class room number 010 of E&C department. The purpose of this talk is to give mechanical engineering and E&C students a brief idea about various jobs and organizations resulting in increase of employability. The seminar covered many venues of employment for students.

The program covered different jobs and organizations. Including Indian armed forces, Administrative (IAS, IPS, KAS), Research, Service, Merchant Navy, Banking. The speaker highlighted the participants to have entrepreneurial zeal.  The audience strength included 39 students from both Mechanical and E&C departments combined. The seminar received wholehearted support from the HoDs of both departments. The interaction with students helped the students to understand the requirement to enter such noble professions after completion of their graduation. The program was an eye opener for students.

The event was coordinated by Dr Bhrath K Bhat from Dept. of Mechanical engineering and Ms Shashikala R from the Department of E&C.
