The members of the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and the Youth Red Cross (YRC) wing of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal organised a special interaction and entertainment program for the inmates of Manasa, Pamboor, a residential-cum day school for special children at the institute premises on 04 April 2015.
(Dr.)Nagaraja Rao, Senior Asst. Professor and NSS Coordinator of SMVITM, along with Ms. Reshma Hebbar, Mr. Narayana Nayak, Faculty Coordinators of the NSS and YRC and student volunteers of the organisations, handed over books, clothes and toys donated by the staff and students of the institute to Ms. Merul Premalatha, Vice Principal of the school on the occasion.
The NSS and YRC volunteers engaged the children at the school in various activities and games, which were thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by the children. Prizes were distributed to the children at the end.
Ms.Merul Premalatha expressed her deep sense of gratitude to SMVITM and the volunteers and appreciated the noble and thoughtful gesture of planning for and organising such a memorable event for the inmates of the school.
