Entrepreneurship Development cell in association with ISTE Student Chapter of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal organized “IDEATHON 2022” on 10 December 2022 in the college premises.
The major objective of the program was to exhibit technical idea based on various themes and hence to flourish thinking ability of the students to solve the societal related problems.
The program was started by lighting the lamp.
Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, Asst. Professor (Sr.), the Coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Cell, SMVITM welcomed the gathering and briefed about the program. He expressed his gratitude to the participants of various colleges of Karnataka and also from outside for registering the event in large number with so much of enthusiasm.
Chief Guest of “IDEATHON 2022”. Mr. Dinesh Karnik, Managing Director, Prueba India Software Pvt Ltd, Manipal addressed the gathering. During his speech Mr. Karnik mentioned that most of the time, the necessity creates innovation and it would be great if innovation become a passion for students. The chief Guest also spoke about need to work intensively to solve a problem and contribute to the society. Finally he mentioned that even the students with innovative mind set can also become an entrepreneur and get success in life.
Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM has delivered presidential remark. In his speech he mentioned that this kind of program will help to generate new ideas which will help mankind to resolve their problems and also congratulated the participants for showing interest to participate in such events..
Mr. Harish Belman, HEAD, Premier Investments, and also Governing Council member of SMVITM was the Guest of Honour of the inaugural function.
Dr. Ganesh Aithal, the Vice Principal of SMVITM, was present during the inaugural ceremony. The program started with invocation by Ms. Chithkala and the Programme was compered by Ms. Shrutha V Bhat. Ms. Ankitha of introduced the Chief Guest to august gathering.
A vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Usha Parvtahy.
The valedictory function which was held in the evening and the winners of the event was awarded with a cash prize worth of Rs.50,000 along with certificates to the participants.
