The MoE’s Innovation cell launched “KAPILA: Kalam Program for IP Literacy and Awareness to boost IP filing in the country by Higher Education Institutions. Under this program and as a first step, “IP Literacy Week” is being organized during 15 – 23 October 2020 to celebrate the birth anniversary of a visionary and well-acclaimed proponent of Innovative India, Former President, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
Day 1 – 15 October 2020, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Hon’ble Education, Minister, MoE, Launched of KAPILA: Kalam Program for IP Literacy and Awareness & Inauguration of Intellectual Property Literacy Week.
Day 2 – 16 October 2020, Dr. Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, MIC, Spoke on Importance of Maharshi Bharadwaj IP Literacy Initiative and Dr. Mohit Gambhir, Director, MIC delivered a talk on Importance and scope of IPR in Academic Researches.
Day 3 – 19 October 2020, Mr. Varun Chamadiya, Founder, Proactive I, spoke on Lateral Thinking – How to generate revolutionary ideas !
Day 4 – 20 October 2020, Shri. Prabuddha Ganguli, CEO Vision –IPR, delivered a talk on Seeding Ideas to Harvesting Innovation for Social Good : Role of Intellectual Property Rights.
Day 5 – 21 October 2020, Dr. Unnat Pandit Program Director Atal Innovation Mission, delivered a talk on Building IP, Innovation Ecosystem in Academic Institutions.
Day 6 – 22 October 2020, Dr Sheetal Chopra India Lead – IPR Advocacy, Ericsson India Ltd spoke on Prior Art Search & Patent drafting – Key Insights.
Day 7 – 23 October 2020, Dr Sheetal Chopra India Lead – IPR Advocacy, Ericsson India explained Patent Filing Process
The Faculties of SMVITM, Bantakal participated in this program in large numbers to gained knowledge on IP and Patent filing process.
