Workshop on National Innovation Startup Policy

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management Bantakal conducted an awareness program on “National Innovation Startup Policy” on 02, June, 2021. The Program was jointly organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council and Entrepreneurship Development cell of the institute and held online mode.

Dr. Shrihari Upadhyaya, CEO, Manipal Universal Technological Business Incubator (MUTBI) participated as the resource person. During the session, Dr. Shrihri explained how the NISP-2019 prepared by the Government of India helps our country improve its ranking in the Global Innovation index. He also mentioned that the faculties, students and alumni’s of institute plays important role in creating entrepreneurial culture within the institute. He quoted several examples of well-known companies and how they established themselves as giant companies.

Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, the NISP coordinator, briefly described the implementation of National Innovation Startup Policy in the institute. He also mentioned that the innovation cell of Ministry of Education (MoE) is conducting various training programs on NISP-2019 to help all higher education institutions to implement the same.

Around 100 Students, staff and faculties of the institute participated in the program and interacted with the resource person.

Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Cell welcomed all the participants, Mr. Pranav K. R introduced the resource person and Ms. Usha H proposed vote of thanks at the end of the program.
