Business Model Canvas workshop

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management Bantakal conducted a workshop on “Business Model Canvas” on 29, May, 2021. The Program was jointly organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council and Entrepreneurship Development cell of the institute.

Dr. Sudhir Raj K, Professor, Justice K. S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte, Karkala participated as the resource person of the program. During the session, Dr. Sudhir Raj explained why the business model is important for any company to scale up their business. He quoted several examples of well-known Indian and Multinational companies and the success of their companies.

Dr. Raj also explained that the business model canvas covers the four main areas of any venture: customers, offering, infrastructure, and financial viability. He also mentioned about nine building blocks that describe and assess a business model i.e customer segments, value propositions, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partnerships, and cost structure

The Students, staff and facultiesof the institute participated in large numbers and interacted with the resource person.

Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Cell welcomed all the participants, Ms. Bhoomika introduced the resource person and Mr. Sandesh Kumar proposed vote of thanks at the end of the program.
