Alumni Talk by Ms.Sanchitha B

The Alumni Cell of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal in association with Department of Computer Science and Engineering has organized a Student-Alumni interaction activity by Ms.Sanchitha B on 08 August 2020 at 10.00 AM through Google Meet.
She was a student of batch 2014-2018 Computer Science and Engineering. Ms.Sanchitha B is currently working as Software Engineer, Accord Global Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. She gave several tips on facing interviews, current job opportunities in the post-COVID situation. She addressed the students regarding the industry expectation on their domain expertise. The skills required to be acquired by the students in their domain were conveyed to the students.
She shared a few tips on placement preparations so that one should follow 5PS like Potential, Passion, Patience, Plan, Preservation and also briefed about Step-by-Step Guide to Preparing for Campus Placements. Ms.Sanchitha pointed out the interview experience with different ideas like Study the job description, review the application materials, Make clear connections and Practice the answers. She explained
the importance of teamwork and taking up responsibilities and completing it on time. She also expressed that with just B.E degree learning won’t stop, we should have the attitude to learn as you earn to keep yourself updated in the corporate world. So it was really an informative session.
Ms. Ramyashree welcomed the gathering and introduced the speaker to the audience. Ms. Ramyashree and Ms. Deepthi G Pai, Assistant professors and Department Alumni coordinators, Department of CSE, coordinated the event. HoD of CSE Dr.Vasudeva, faculty members of the department and students of SMVITM attended the event.
