Three days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management Bantakal organized three-days Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp from 21 to 23 October, 2019. The awareness Program was conducted by Entrepreneurship Development cell of the Institute with support from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmadabad. The program was inaugurated on 21 October, 2019 in the seminar hall of the institute.

After inaugurating the camp, the chief guest of the function Prof. B. S Revankar, Former Director, NITK-STEP informed participants that trends in the country is changing and more engineers are starting their own company and contributing to development of society and also stressed that the problems of unemployment can be solved only through entrepreneurship. Sri Revankar also informed that energy crises, water management problems can be solved by bring innovation in entrepreneurship. He also stressed to work together to improve ranking of our country globally in terms of entrepreneurship.

Sri. Rathnakumar, Secretary, SSVMET, Udupi, Presided over the function and conveyed that most of the students are having confusion in their mind that whether to opt for a job or to become an entrepreneur and event like this will clear their doubts. He also stressed that planning and execution of ideas are important to become successful entrepreneur. Mr. Ratnakumar also informed that today’s education system is reducing the confidence level of youth and only entrepreneurs have courage to develop our nation.

The Principal of the institute Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat presented the prelude of the program and addressed the gathering by saying that there are ample opportunities for students to start their own company in the field of Mechanical and Civil engineering stream. He congratulated the students for participating in large numbers and advised students to take benefit of the program and become successful entrepreneur.

Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, coordinator of the program welcomed the gathering and Mr. Madhukar Nayak proposed vote of thanks at the end of the program. Ms. Sowmya Bhat compeered the program.
