Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with ISTE Student chapter of SMVITM, Bantakal has organized 3 Days Training Programme on Hydraulics & Pneumatics at VTU Bosch Rexroth Centre of Competence in Automation Technology, Hanchya Sathagalli Layout, Outer Ring Road, Mysore. 42 Students of final year Mechanical Engineering department have participated in this programme along with two faculty members. Dr. N S Sriram, Professor, Mechanical Engineering department, VVIET, Mysore and Dr. K R Prakash, Professor, Mechanical Engineering department, NIE, Mysore were the resource persons.
The training programme includes introduction to hydraulics, hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, control valves, circuit designing and building, study of proportional valves, hydraulic fluids and filtration, and also hands on session on construction and operation of hydraulic assemblies on the training rig.
The training programme also includes introduction to Pneumatics, Fundamentals of Pneumatics, Basic components – Cylinders and Valves, their working and interactions, electro pneumatic circuit diagram, and also hands on session on building pneumatic circuits on the training rig.
Mr. Ganesh Kalagi and Mr. Manjunath S, Senior Assistant Professors of Mechanical Engineering department have coordinated this training programme.
