Industrial Visit to Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC)

Department of Mechanical Engineering has organized Industrial Visit to Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC), Belagola Industrial Area, K.R.S Road, Mysore on 27 September, 2019.

42 Students of final year Mechanical Engineering department have visited the industry along with two faculty members. H.M. Radhakrishna, the in-charge of SIEMENS Centre of Excellence (COE) Courses took the students around the plant and explained the operations and the mode of work in their Centre. GTTC is an autonomous society, and a recognized Scientific and Research Organization by the Government of India. GTTC is serving industry by way of precision tooling and providing in well trained craftsmen the area of tool and die making. The students have given exposure to various machine tools, tool design, advanced robots for the applications of various types of welding in industrial use, and advanced tools using in quality checking.

Mr. Manjunath S and Mr. Ganesh Kalagi, Senior Assistant Professors of Mechanical Engineering department have coordinated the visit.
