Industrial visit to RMC plant Baikampady and Simply supported Pvt. Ltd Mangalore.

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell in association with student chapter of Indian society for technical education (ISTE) under Civil Engineering department had organized a one day technical trip to RMC Plant at Baikampady, Mangalore and Simply Supported Pvt. Ltd, Mangalore for VII semester Civil Engineering students on 17^th November 2018. Around 49 Students were taken to an ongoing project site called MAK PARK SQUARE which is located at pumpwell, Mangalore. Details of pile foundations work, different equipment for the casting of pile and structural aspects of reinforcement in pile foundation have been discussed in detail. In the afternoon

session students were taken to Baikampady RMC Plant. Initially RMC plant quality control unit was shown to the students and explained about the various test conducted on aggregates, cement and other concrete ingredients. The working of the plant and how materials were carried to mixing unit was demonstrated. Later on students were taken to the control room where the plant operation and material quantity can be controlled.
