Industrial visit – UPCL, Padubidre

The Training and Placement Cell, SMVITM, Bantakal in association with Yantrika Student Club and the institutional ISTE Student Chapter organized a one-day industrial visit to Adani Udupi Power Corporation Limited at Yelluru Village, Padubidri for interested students of pre-final year Mechanical Engineering on 26th October, 2018. The visit was from the 10:30am to 12:30pm.

During the visit, the 37 students were taken on a tour to all the relevant areas of the power plant. Mr Lalith Prasad Sharma gave comprehensive explanations on the various components and their individual and combined working. The students gained clarity on several aspects pertaining to the functioning of a thermal power plant and were also overwhelmed by the sheer scale of its operational technicalities.

Mr. Ananth Mohan Mallya and Mr. Shreepannaga, Asst. Professors, Department of Mechanical Engineering accompanied the students on the visit.
