Technical quiz competition

A quiz is a game which can also be called a mind sport wherein the players, either as individuals or in teams attempt to answer questions posed to them correctly, in order to win a prize. We designed these to promote, a fun way of study and help in the process of improving one’s general knowledge. On account of Engineers day celebration department wise technical Quiz Competition organized by Co-Curricular committee in association with Student Chapter of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE).

1. Prelims: Event was held on 28 August 2018. In this round, quiz consisting of 20 questions was given. Students were given half an hour to solve the questions. From CSE department there were total of 48 teams, from Mechanical department there were total of 13 teams, from from EC department there were total of 15 teams and from Civil department there were total of 6 teams. One team from each branch was selected for the final round. Event was conducted by Mr. Avinash-Asst. Professor, ECE department, Mr. Manjunath – Asst. Professor, Mechanical department, Mrs. Deepika – Asst. Professor, Civil Department, Mrs. Sowmya – Asst. Professor, CSE Department.

2. Final round: Event was held on 4 September 2018. Total of 4 teams had participated, one from each department.

2. Harsha & Ganesh K S (CSE).
3. Sudarshan M & U Surajshet (ME).
4. Prashanth H & Mohammed Nasheel (CV)

Finals were organized under the guidance of Asst. Prof Mr. Avinash N J (ECE). The event was led by the quiz master Rushali Naik. Mrs. Sowmya Asst. Professor, CSE department & Mrs. Swathi Prabhu Asst. Professor, CSE department were on Judges panel for final round Quiz. The top 4 teams were tricked with various general technical based questions with overall 6 rounds. Each round was unique in its own way.

5. Select your topic.
6. Test your bond.

Audience round was also organized for Students, participants and also for the faculties. SUDARSHAN M & U SURAJ SHET from Mechanical Department and PRASHANTH HARITHAS &.MOHAMMED NASHEEL from Civil Department won the first and second place respectively.  Winners were awarded with the prizes during Engineer’s day celebration.
