Awareness program on Self-defense

Women Empowerment Cell of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management organized an awareness program on Self-defense for the 5^th to 7^th standard girl students of Govt. School Bajagoli in the school premises on 6^th Feb 2016 at 11:00AM. Ms. Mamatha, 2^nd year student of ECE Dept, SMVITM was the resource person.

The main aim of the program was to bring awareness and teach basic self-defense skills to the girl students of rural region. Ms. Mamatha briefed about the importance of self-defense. Later she illustrated simple techniques to manage such scenarios of attack and taught few warm exercises to stay fit. The students were interactive throughout the session. School management thanked the team headed by Dr. Lolita Priya Castelino as the program was of great help for the girl students of the school.
