Invited Talk – Intellectual Property Rights and Patenting

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management Bantakal have organized an invited talk on “Intellectual Property Rights and Patenting” on Saturday, 13 October, 2018. This Program was organized by Entrepreneurship Development cell of the Institute for the benefit of faculties.

The resource person Mr. Nishanth K. Prasad, Associate, K&S Partners, Intellectual Property Attorneys, Bengaluru, gave the details about intellectual Property Rights its types and informed the gathering that a patent provides its owner with the right to exclude others from exploiting the patented technology, including, for example, making, using, or selling the patented invention.

Mr. Nishanth also explained the Patent application process, also strategic considerations for international patent filing.

Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, HODs of all the departments and faculties were present during the function.  Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, Coordinator of ED cell, coordinated the program.

Mr. Karthik V welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks at the end of the program.
