The Alumni Cell in Association with The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an Alumni Interaction activity for interested pre-final year and final year students of all departments. Mr. Ateeth M Shetty, our proud Alumnus was the resource person for the session. The program was held on 11 October 2018 in the admin block seminar hall.
Mr. Shetty, is an aspirant to join Indian Army. He visited his Alma Mater and addressed as well as interacted with the students who are aspiring to join the Defense forces of our country. He shared his experience of the five day selection process of the Service Selection Board (SSB).
He shared details of the five day schedule at SSB during selection including Intelligence test, Picture Perception and Discussion test, Personal Interview, Psychological testing: Word Association test, Thematic Apperception test, Situation Reaction test and Self Description, Group Discussion, Group Planning Exercise, Progressive Group Task, Half Group Task, Group Obstacle Race as well as Individual Obstacle test, Command Test and Final Group Task. The results are then announced after a final conference with the candidates.
Mr. Shetty also shared his views on preparations: physical and mental, by involving in certain tasks such as reading books, having a hobby etc. and most importantly staying motivated. The students were extremely delighted to hear from their senior and they interacted with Mr. Shetty.
The program was compelled by Mr Karthik V. Dr. Sudarshan Rao, Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Aditya Kudva S, Institutional Alumni Coordinator, Mr. Lingraj K Ritti and Mr. Manjunath faculty of Department of Mechanical Engineering were also present on the occasion.
