Alumnus talk on “College life, Internship and preparation for Placements”

The alumni interaction activity by Ms. Vani V Bhat (2014-2018 CSE batch) was arranged by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Alumni Cell, on 15 September, 2018. The students of pre-final year of CSE department were the beneficiary of this program. The talk was held at admin block seminar hall.

Ms. Vani V Bhat is currently working as Trainee Project Analyst in Juego Studio, Mangalore. She shared her journey from college to industry. Speaker talked about her experience on her active participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and how it boosts one’s confidence. She motivated audience to grab the every single opportunity without any hesitation, though one may fail in one or two attempts.

Speaker talked about her Internship experience in which she told how much it is important to clear the doubts there and then. She also shared her preparation for placement and told students to prepare right from 3^rd year which eases burden of preparing in the last moment. Later Ms. Vani talked about placement experience and how to face the interview effectively. She suggested on giving the best effort in whichever the field one gets placed in.

At the end queries by the students were answered by Ms. Vani and she also gave inputs on preparing for interview phases like aptitude, GD, stress interview and HR interview.

Ms. Tejaswini H, welcomed the gathering and introduced speaker to the audience. Dr. Vasudeva, HOD, Department of CSE thanked and presented the memento to the Guest speaker. Ms. Anujna Rao delivered vote of thanks. Ms. Tejaswini H and Ms. Anujna Rao, Assistant professor and Department Alumni coordinators, Department of CSE, coordinated the event.
