Teachers’ Day Celebration: Honouring the Architects of Tomorrow

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and reverence, commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India, philosopher, scholar and eminent teacher. Floral tributes were offered in remembrance of his invaluable contributions to the field of education.

The programme was presided over by Mr. Ratnakumar, Secretary, Sri Sode Vadiraja Matha Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi. Dr. H. V. Sudhaker Nayak, distinguished academician, researcher and former Director of NITK Surathkal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and was honoured for his contributions to education and research.

Dr. Nagaraj Bhat, Principal, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the noble role of teachers in shaping students and contributing to the development of society. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Nayak emphasized that a teacher’s true achievement lies in the lasting impact made on students. He urged educators to lead with compassion, empathy and positive values.

Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, CEO, SODE Group of Institutions, conveyed his Teachers’ Day wishes and emphasized that teachers should strive to be good human beings first. Mr. Ratnakumar described teachers as the backbone of an educational institution and appreciated their dedication and contribution to the growth of the institution.

Dr. Deepika B. V., Coordinator of the programme, was present on the occasion. Deans, faculty members and staff participated in the celebration, making the event a meaningful tribute to the teaching fraternity.
