SMVITM Welcomes New B.E. Students with Orientation Programme 2026

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, organized an Orientation Programme for newly admitted B.E. students on 20 September 2026.

The programme was inaugurated by Sri P. Srinivas Tantry, Vice President, Sri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, in the presence of Dr. Prasad B. Rampure, Registrar, VTU, Belagavi, as Chief Guest, and Sri Purushotham S., Global Technology Head, TCS, Bengaluru, as Guest of Honour.

Dr. Prasad B. Rampure emphasized regular attendance, conceptual learning, discipline, teamwork, and hard work, while highlighting the VTU Skill Lab initiative for first-year students. Sri Purushotham S. shared insights from his professional journey and encouraged students to focus on domain expertise, continuous learning, teamwork, and ambitious goals.

Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal, CEO, Sode Group of Institutions, highlighted the institution’s growth and commitment to students’ academic, career, and character development. Dr. Nagaraj Bhat, Principal, SMVITM, welcomed the students and highlighted the institute’s achievements, while Dr. Sudarshan Rao, Dean (Academics), briefed students on academic rules and expectations.

The programme also featured the felicitation of the top three CET rank holders who joined SMVITM. Faculty members and senior administrators were present on the occasion.

The orientation programme provided students and parents with valuable insights into academic life, career opportunities, institutional expectations, and the learning environment at SMVITM, marking a positive beginning to their engineering journey.
