Interview Mastery Workshop “Hirecraft”: Preparing Students for Career Success

The Department of Business Administration at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management successfully conducted an Interview Mastery Workshop – “Hirecraft” on 29th April 2026 with the objective of preparing students to confidently face interviews through practical learning, real-time interaction, and professional skill development. The workshop focused on enhancing interview readiness, communication, and employability skills among management students.

The session commenced with Prof. Aurin Madtha briefing students on important aspects of resume building, interview techniques, professional grooming, and commonly asked interview questions. Students gained valuable guidance on how to effectively present their qualifications, strengths, and career aspirations during recruitment processes.

A major highlight of the workshop was the interactive real-time interview practice, where students were trained to answer interview questions confidently, maintain effective communication, and present themselves professionally in simulated interview environments. The hands-on approach enabled participants to experience practical interview situations and better understand employer expectations.

The workshop also included group discussion sessions, helping students improve their speaking abilities, teamwork, interpersonal communication, and confidence in expressing ideas effectively within group settings. In addition, an aptitude test was conducted to assess students’ logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and time management abilities, thereby strengthening their placement preparedness.

To ensure continuous improvement, students received constructive feedback after each interview session, allowing them to identify areas for enhancement and refine their communication and presentation skills. A debriefing session was later conducted to analyze the overall outcomes and learning experiences of the activity.

Conducted in partnership with the Management Club, Department of Business Administration, the workshop proved to be a highly informative and practical learning experience, equipping students with the confidence, clarity, preparation strategies, and professional skills necessary for future career opportunities and placement success.
