The workshop was conducted by Dr. Neha Lakhotia, who served as the resource person. The session focused on equipping students with essential interview techniques, professional communication skills, and the confidence required to excel in campus placements and corporate recruitment processes.

During the workshop, Dr. Lakhotia explained the objectives and different types of interviews, including HR, technical, and panel interviews. She emphasized the importance of thorough pre-interview preparation through company research, resume refinement, and understanding job requirements. Students were also guided on delivering an impactful “Tell Me About Yourself” introduction and responding effectively to behavioural and situational questions using the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) technique.

The session further highlighted the importance of body language, professional etiquette, tone of voice, first impressions, and common mistakes to avoid during both virtual and face-to-face interviews. Practical strategies for handling difficult and stress interview questions were also discussed, enabling students to approach interviews with greater confidence.

The workshop successfully achieved its objective of enhancing students’ communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills while familiarizing them with recruiter expectations. Participants appreciated the interactive nature of the programme and expressed that the session provided valuable insights into interview preparation, significantly boosting their confidence for upcoming placement opportunities.
